About us

Moore Family Law specialises in Family Law.  We are based at 28 Rectory Lane, Skipton, BD23 1ER, at the far end of the big car park – so visiting is easy.

We offer appointments face to face in person at our office, online through Microsoft Teams or Zoom conference, or by telephone, whichever suits you.

Our normal office hours are Monday – Friday 9am-5pm but we will also help by providing out of hours appointments and home visits, if necessary.

Founded by Fiona Moore in 2013, Moore Family Law has been busy helping dales families to traverse the difficult terrain of separation and divorce for more than a decade.

We handle all the necessary legal steps to disentangling a relationship: divorce and all its ramifications.  We handle the fair distribution of assets and pensions, ensuring short and long term financial stability for our clients.

Most importantly we work to minimise the impact of separation on children. Their welfare is paramount and we assist with issues ranging from living and visiting arrangements through to financial maintenance for their upbringing.

Mediation is an alternative option we can offer to resolve disputes amicably. We are the only legal practice in the Dales area to offer this service. Please note, however, that we cannot go onto represent someone if we have acted as their mediator.

We offer all our meetings in person at our office in a traditional C19th century building on Rectory Lane (in the centre of Skipton backing onto the main car park), or on online using platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
